Black Hills National Cemetery Kimo died on April 27th, 1993 and each year a growing number of people visit his grave on that day. If you would like to join in the pilgrimage the address to the cemetery is 20901 Pleasant Valley Drive Sturgis, SD 57785. Directions from the nearest airport are: Cemetery is located three miles east of Sturgis and 25 miles west of Rapid City, S.D. From Rapid City Regional Airport, go west on Highway 44 to Interstate 90 west to Exit 34, to cemetery. Kimo is buried in Section G Site 4377. It is customary to bring an ESR to place at Kimo's grave, although it is against the cemetery policy to leave anything other than flowers at the grave sites.
